Knights Of Columbus Crown State Free Throw Champions for 2009

The results are in from the Knights of Columbus State Free Throw Championships held at St. Ann in Nashville in April.  The Regional Championship winners advanced to State level and those winners will be sent to Supreme to help determine the national finals. Of our state winners, 6 came from Middle TN, 3 from West and 1 from East. The winners were:

10 Year Old Boys: Patrick Vassallo – Memphis
10 Year Old Girls: Molly Sullivan – Nashville
11 Year Old Boys: Dalton Smith – Hendersonville
11 Year Old Girls: Lizzie Ouellette – Collierville
12 Year Old Boys: Michael Canonico – Nashville
12 Year Old Girls: Sylvia Coutras – Brentwood
13 Year Old Boys: Charlie Oswald – Memphis
13 Year Old Girls: Emily Palmer – Nashville
14 Year Old Boys: Adam Neal – Nashville
14 Year Old Girls: Ashlyn Taylor - Greenville

Each contestant was allowed 25 free-throw attempts. Ties were settled by successive rounds of five free throws per contestant until a winner emerged.

Thanks to the Knights Of Columbus State Youth Consultant Keith Sovine for hosting the event at St. Ann in Nashville. Special Thanks to the other Brother Knights who helped this event turn out to be a huge success: John Mc Nicholas, Patrick Connor, Bob DeRuvo, Thomas Janaskie, Richard Davis and DD Ray Alves.
